Literally, minutes from my previous post about me signing off TikTok, I immediately started seeing the inevitable message about the social media app on my other social media sites and some people are neutral about it and others are upset.

The message indicates to followers who log into the app, that it is currently banned in the U.S. as of right now and it’s not no where near 11:59 just as yet.

Several news affiliate stations reported that the ban would go into effect, tomorrow, Jan. 19 in the U.S. but since the app is ran in China and by Chinese leaders, right now, in China, it is indeed 12 a.m. there. So the app agreement on their end, did go “Dark” as promised, moments after 12 a.m. in their respective country.

Some people said online were looking at lives, streaming content or just scrolling through the platform when they received the sudden message from TikTok.

Not only did the app “TikTok” go through a national ban for the U.S. but a social media editing platform did as well, named CapCut.

Now, those of you, who did have TikTok, may have seen videos with special effects ran through CapCut on the social media app, however since both have been banned, they will no longer be assessable within the App Store and Google Play, that’s ran in the United States.
