It’s been 13 days since a new coffee spot called Dutch Bros opened on 1874 East Main Street in Prattville.

Dutch Bros Coffee is a drive-through coffee chain headquartered in Grants Pass, Oregon with many company- owned locations and franchise locations, including the Prattville location in Alabama being their latest one.

The drive-thru coffee spot had its soft grand opening, just before the new year came in on Dec. 29 where the local business gave out free coffee in honor of the opening and cars in the area that went to the coffee spot for the first time, were lined up all the way back by the plaza’s entrance.

One family from the grand opening of the business talked to BBF staff writer Faith Callens and said they were not certain of how they heard about the coffee grand opening but said they knew the coffee spot would be coming soon, so when it did they decided to come out.

“Between my sister and my fiancé, they said Dutch Brothers Coffee was joining us here in town and I said I heard of them before but I have never had their coffee,” said J.R., who is a visitor of Prattville and at the time, was only in the city for a couple of days.

J.R. said he’s a coffee fanatic who’s been drinking coffee for 20 years plus and said he drinks coffee only for the taste. But, at the Dutch Bros. location in Prattville, he said he decided to try something different, which was their green energy drink from the new coffee spot’s energy drink line.

On the behalf of J.R. fiance Imani, she gave BBF Blog an inside scoop of the drink’s taste calling it sour and J.R. said the coffee spot has two options for those interested in trying them out: hot, iced, frozen coffee or their energy drink line that comes with multiple flavors, not just the sour kind.

J.R. said his overall experience at the Dutch Bros location in Prattville on opening night was nice and that he liked his experience so far.

“If you are a coffee connoisseur, come and see them. The people working there are friendly, they have bubbly personalities and we walked up to nothing but smiles.”
