This piece is expressionary. Self -written like all my other pieces but this one is long over due. Instead of me finding a painting of a beautiful black girl , I decided to use me.

In this post, GROWN isn’t stood for the term we all know but I use it today like this .

GROWN.

GETTING READY , OVERCOMING WORLDLY THINGS NOW.

As a young adult, I been through college , graduated and landed a job. Not just any job but the one that I like, the one I get recognized for , the one I sometimes struggle to get to , but its a job that I’m proud to have.

A retail job.

Interesting huh? I know we have the process in our minds of adult hood being one narrow path but it’s not. It’s full of curves , dips and dives with the extra emergency signs of cautioness waiting ahead. But, its okay. It may not be this month , or this year but I know soon the path that God has for me I will find it .

Oh, I also moved out. I been out of the nest for some time (since 2020 started ) and I’ve been nesting in a new place , I can call my own .

No vistors, a lot peace and a new aura filled with Self.

Myself, whether good or bad, tired or sad, happy or mad .. I’m all alone in a big place I call home. In this house, I have created memories , good &bad but I’m thankful.

One thing about your house, it’s yours. Protect your energy , your peace. It’s your space to create , laugh , joke , cry, get mad but whatever you do, have sometime to pray.

PRAY the hard days away, PRAY the great days stay and at the end of the day , know its your house , you can do it, YOUR WAY.

Over the past couple months, Life has been smooth for the most part but there is some keys to the term GROWN.

Accept the things you can’t change, move on from people who you don’t bring you nothing but pain, mess, sorrow and enjoy the little small things.

A nice bath after a long day of work

A cup tea after a hard workout

Being in bed all day just cuddling alone to your phone, tablet or tv

SMALL THINGS

One more thing, Don’t rush things aka Life. People are going to have babies. People are going to get married. People are going to go on vacations. People are going to do a lot of things. Don’t rush what you aren’t ready for . STOP! Prepare and in your timing God will give you everything you need.

STOP WORRYING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE, WHEN THE MAIN LIFE THAT MATTERS IS YOUR OWN.

LIVE YOUR TRUTH . LIVE YOUR LIFE. ROCK THAT SCAR OR THOSE KINKY CURLY OR WAVY HAIR TEXTURES , DRIVE YOUR CAR, MAKE YOUR MOVES.

JUST ENJOY YOU.
